With your experience in the food & beverage industry, what key milestones shaped your leadership growth, and what motivates you?

With two decades in the food and beverage industry, I’ve worked across business development, sales, marketing, and operations, gaining valuable insights and life lessons that have shaped my leadership. Throughout this journey, I have established new markets, launched innovative products, and operated in diverse landscapes, adapting to varying consumer trends. These experiences have taught me the importance of differentiation, perseverance, and driving growth through innovation.

Constantly seeking new knowledge and opportunities is what keeps me motivated. I always look for something new to explore, whether it's a challenge or an opportunity. Without challenges, things become stagnant, so I embrace them to keep growing and moving forward.

How do you find these experiences beneficial in creating marketing strategy aligning with the goals and objectives of FES Vietnam?

For me, marketing strategy is all about standing out, and I live by the mantra ‘differentiate or die’. Irrespective of the project’s nature, I ensure that our offerings capture attention and set us apart from the competition. I believe that continuous innovation is the cornerstone of long-term success and it’s essential to keep evolving. This approach of always seeking new ways to innovate and stay ahead is something I would bring to align with Food Empire Holdings (FES) Vietnam’s goals and drive success in the market.

What methods do you use to understand customer preferences, market trends, and competition?

While we rely on market research reports for valuable data and insights, it's essential to seek firsthand insights. Direct interaction with consumers is indispensable. I believe direct consumer interaction is equally essential. I frequently engage with consumers & team members, especially within my target demographics, through informal conversations. These casual discussions provide firsthand insights that help bridge the gap between data and real-world consumer behaviour. The more people I interact with, the deeper my understanding becomes, which allows me to align our strategies more closely with evolving consumer needs.

How do you maintain and enhance FES Vietnam's brand image, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels?

Food Empire is a leading food and beverage company, specializing in the manufacturing and marketing of instant beverages, coffee, confectionery, and convenience foods. To maintain its brand image, it’s crucial to connect with and adapt to consumer trends. Every brand has its own persona and personality and the key is to continuously bring that persona into the daily life of the consumer. By understanding the consumer's journey, we can identify where the brand fits and how it can resonate with them. When consumer trends shift, we adjust our communication to ensure that we grow alongside them.

While consistency is crucial, an omnichannel strategy is even more essential. Each channel requires a tailored approach, and we must recognize that a one-size-fits-all strategy no longer meets the mark. Communication must align with how consumers engage with each platform. By continuously innovating and refining our strategies, we ensure the brand remains relevant and connected across all channels.

How do you guide your team in creating compelling campaigns and encourage innovation?

To guide the team, I first foster a creative and safe environment where open communication is a priority and team members feel free to share their ideas without fear of judgment. This openness encourages diverse perspectives and leads to a wide range of innovative ideas. During brainstorming sessions, I focus on identifying promising concepts and then guide the team to further develop those ideas and bringing that vision to life.

Describe your leadership approach and the methodologies you follow? What is the future roadmap you have envisioned for your journey?

My leadership style is transformational. I focus on inspiring and empowering my team to reach their full potential. I believe in bringing out the best in people by guiding and mentoring them to excel in their strengths. When team members are motivated in this way, they are more driven to solve problems and exceed expectations. Although this approach can be time-consuming and demanding, it leads to a team that is deeply committed to the vision and stands by you.

I’ve never envisioned myself in the long term because every day presents new challenges. For me, I thrive on constant challenges and would get bored in a stable environment with no new opportunities for growth. Thankfully, the market is dynamic, it constantly evolves, competitors emerge, and trends shift. I always stay adaptable, focusing on how I can evolve with these changes, continue learning, and grow alongside the market.
