Could you give a brief account of your professional journey? What have been the milestones and challenges that shaped your journey so far?

My professional journey has been a continuous evolution from legal expertise to strategic business leadership. After 17 years in law, working with global firms, and groundbreaking projects like Saudi Arabia’s Qiddiya under PIF and Expo 2020 in Dubai, I realized the critical role of operations in achieving sustainable growth. This realization fueled my passion for integrating strategy with actionable solutions, leading me to the world of management consulting.

As the Managing Director of NKO Consulting, I focus on reshaping how businesses approach strategy. We don’t just deliver roadmaps, we immerse ourselves in implementation, ensuring that every vision becomes a tangible success. By aligning operational frameworks with strategic goals, we enable companies to unlock their full potential. With a customer-centric philosophy and a hands-on approach, I strive to drive impactful change, transforming ambitious ideas into measurable, lasting results. This focus defines my journey and fuels my mission every day.

True leadership, according to Osama Abuljebain, lies in listening, understanding, and aligning strategy with a vision to create a lasting impact

What is your strategy to stay ahead in the evolving market and to capitalize on emerging opportunities?

Staying ahead in an evolving market demands a blend of local expertise and a global perspective. Our strategy is rooted in understanding cultural nuances and balancing them with international standards. By analyzing market dynamics, we craft solutions tailored to each region’s unique characteristics, ensuring sustainable, organic growth rather than disruptive overhaul.

Innovation is central to our approach. We leverage advanced tools, anticipate market trends, and adapt strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities. Our client-centric methodology focuses on deep collaboration, aligning with their vision to implement actionable, high-impact strategies. Prioritizing long-term partnerships built on trust and integrity, we integrate with client teams to deliver value-driven outcomes. This holistic approach ensures businesses remain agile and competitive while achieving enduring success.

Describe your leadership approach. What are the guidelines or methodologies you follow as a leader?

My leadership approach is deeply team-oriented, fostering an open-door culture that encourages collaboration and trust. I emphasize a three-phased methodology, including strategic thinking, framework planning, and implementation, ensuring a structured yet flexible path to success. I believe in my team’s expertise, hiring rigorously to prioritize not only skills but also qualities like empathy and active listening. This enables consultants to align strategies with client visions rather than imposing external frameworks. By maintaining a horizontal, supportive environment, I empower my team to excel while delivering client-focused solutions that reflect shared goals and values, driving impactful, sustainable outcomes.

Where do you picture yourself in the long-term of your professional journey, going forward?

In the long term, I envision myself continuing to grow and evolve within NKO Consulting, shaping its vision and impact on the global business landscape. Transitioning from a legal framework to the dynamic realm of management consulting has been transformative, broadening my perspective on how businesses can thrive through strategy and implementation. This journey has also been deeply personal. Balancing professional growth with family life, particularly after welcoming my third child, has profoundly influenced my approach to leadership and decision-making. It’s about creating value while fostering meaningful relationships and sustainable success. Looking ahead, I aim to drive innovation, nurture client partnerships, and inspire a culture of excellence, ensuring NKO remains a trusted advisor for businesses worldwide.

What would be your advice to upcoming leaders in this space?

My advice to aspiring leaders in this space is to approach every opportunity with patience and a well-thought-out strategy. Understand the market deeply before making any move, as rushing into decisions often leads to challenges that could have been avoided. Build with a clear vision from the outset, aligning it with long-term goals. Remember, it's far easier to establish a solid foundation than to fix missteps later. Invest time in research, planning, and adaptability to navigate complexities and create sustainable growth.
