From the very beginning, Natthaporn’s journey at Mahidol University was marked by brilliance and a thirst for knowledge. As a young and inquisitive scientist, she set out on a captivating exploration of the intricacies of life sciences. Her passion for research and innovation found its foundation here, setting the stage for a remarkable professional trajectory that continues to captivate and inspire.

Embarking on a path of scientific discovery, she ventured into learning about infectious diseases and epidemiology during her tenure at the esteemed Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit in Bangkok. Fueled by an insatiable desire to expand her horizons, Natthaporn's quest for knowledge led her to the shores of Japan. At the renowned Nara Institute of Science and Technology, she undertook a Ph.D. journey that would reshape her understanding of research and innovation.

She then joined Mitsui Chemicals Singapore R&D Centre, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and passion that quickly earned her the respect of her peers and mentors. Rising through the ranks to become an Assistant Manager in the research division. And then, fate orchestrated as a recruiter from MOJIABIO approached Natthaporn. Drawn by the allure of biotechnology and a passion for driving environmental sustainability, the decision to join MOJIABIO was a resounding and heartfelt yes. As the Associate Director, she now plays a pivotal role in leveraging synthetic biology to create economically sustainable solutions.

Share with us your academic experience at Mahidol University Thailand.

While pursuing Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang my interests were diverse, ranging from applications in healthcare to industry, but my interest zeroed on industrial biotechnology as I joined Mahidol. Under the guidance of a supportive supervisor, I conducted hands-on research on stress response in thermotolerant yeast for ethanol fermentation, enriching my academic knowledge and fostering personal growth and networking opportunities. Participating in the UNESCO training program at ICBiotech, Osaka University further honed my research skills and established valuable international connections. Mahidol's excellent reputation, industry connections, and support system provided me the confidence to pursue my academic and career aspirations, shaping the individual I am today.

I am confident that I am on the right path, working with a company that focuses on technology and sustainability. An accomplished professional with a Ph.D. in Biological Science and six years of expertise in molecular microbiology, biotechnology, and new business development within the life science industry, boasts a robust foundation in her role.
