His inspiring journey began from humble beginnings. He started as a bus boy in a fast-food chain during his final year of high school. His ambition and determination led him to secure a position at Equitable Computer while still in his first year of college at Mapua. Over the years, he honed his skills and expertise in the tech industry, transitioning from working with computer hardware to venturing into system integration in the wake of the Y2K scare in 2001. Recognizing the evolving landscape and the need for adaptation, Myke founded Atlas Circuits in 2014, marking a significant milestone in his entrepreneurial journey.

What drives your daily routines and keeps you motivated?

The driving force behind my daily routines stems from a primal survival instinct initially, as I embarked on the journey of entrepreneurship. However, my motivation has evolved over time. Presently, I am fueled by a deep-seated desire to create a legacy for my family's future generations. Additionally, I am committed to enhancing the livelihoods of my employees, with aspirations to positively impact their descendants as well. This intrinsic motivation not only propels me forward but also instills a sense of purpose and fulfillment in my endeavors.

Could you tell us about the unique experiences Mapua University offers and what did you learn from the campus beyond academics?

Mapua University offers a wealth of unique experiences that extend far beyond traditional academics. Beyond textbooks, it fosters a culture of survival instinct and the development of essential personal skills necessary to navigate campus life. While I may not have been the ideal student initially, my time at Mapua taught me the importance of perseverance. Despite facing challenges, I eventually crossed the finish line, albeit after a prolonged journey. These experiences outside the classroom have equipped me with invaluable life lessons and resilience, shaping me into the individual I am today.

How would you define Atlas Circuits as an organization and its current position in the market?

Drawing from my previous business ventures and just completed my Master’s in Entrepreneurship, we established Atlas Circuits (ACI), with a fresh perspective, better equipped to conduct business professionally. ACI, a distribution company of electrical low voltage devices and auxiliary products, was the first to launch Himel Electric in the Philippine market and followed by acquiring Hochiki fire detection and alarm system. Recently appointed as distributor of Schneider Electric. ACI is post for quality and affordable solutions in the market. As we mark our 10th year milestone, Atlas Circuits has evolved into a formidable presence in the market, boasting a strengthened product portfolio and an expanded nationwide reach. 

Tell us about your leadership approach. What are the guidelines or methodologies you follow as a leader?

My leadership approach is anchored from my principle to lead by example. I make sure that my actions align with my words. I believe in working diligently and intelligently, always seeking improvement in our methods. Empowering my team is crucial. I strive to help them realize their full potential by offering opportunities for growth and development in areas they are passionate about. My ultimate vision is for Atlas to thrive long after my retirement, entrusted to the capable hands of those who have grown alongside the company, steering the company to new heights.

How do you keep yourself up-to-date with ongoing industry trends to steer your organization towards the future?

Staying abreast of industry trends is paramount to guiding our organization towards future success. I firmly believe in the adage 'If you are not networking, you are not working.' In our expansive industry, pursuing a larger market share is an ongoing endeavor. To remain current, we actively participate in industry trade shows, leveraging these platforms not only to showcase our products but also to glean insights into emerging innovations and trends. This commitment to staying informed ensures that we are well-equipped to adapt and evolve in an everchanging landscape, positioning us for sustained growth and competitiveness.

What is your future roadmap, going forward?

Looking ahead, our future roadmap involves fortifying our product offerings and maintaining our steadfast commitment to our core business objectives. Currently establishing a strong presence in Davao, our next strategic move is to expand in Cebu. We aim to broaden our footprint across multiple regions, strategically positioning ourselves to capture a larger share of the nationwide market. This expansion plan underscores our dedication to growth and our mission to serve a wide range of customers across various geographic locations. This expansion plan will poise the company to futureproof itself and be prepared for the future.
