Ameya Jain, Director, Kumar Properties, has changed the trajectory of the business with a motto to give back to society. Today, he is one of the key pillars of strength and the genius driving this business to greatness. Here is an exclusive interview with Ameya Jain about his professional expertise and the challenges he had come across in this journey.

Tell us about your professional background and experiences. What inspired you to pursue a career in the real estate industry?

For the last 57 years, our family has been in the Real Estate business. I grew up witnessing my father and grandfather spearheading our business, and it became my ambition to build elegant and environment-friendly homes and bring joy to people's lives. After completing my civil engineering from Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering in Pune, I am currently working towards providing my clients with the best that the industry offers, backed up by cutting-edge infrastructure and technologies.

How would you define Kumar Properties as an organization and its position in the market?

Kumar Properties is one of the leading participants in the Pune Real Estate Market, and we have now stretched our wings to places such as Mumbai and Bangalore. We have produced about 32 million square feet of Real Estate, including both commercial and residential spaces. However, our first priority has always been to deliver quality homes that house the priceless memories of wonderful families. Quality is our motto, and we prioritize it over profitability as our guiding principle. We have developed confidence, trust, and reliability for our customers by adhering to the quality-first principle. produced about 32 million square feet of Real Estate, including both commercial and residential spaces. What are the most interesting real estate projects that Kumar Properties have executed so far?

Elaborate on any of the current initiatives that the company is working on. Some of the most exciting projects we've completed include Kumar Princeville/Pratham, a township at Moshi, and Kumar Karishma, a beautifully designed project in Pune. These are two intriguing projects that we have created, using cutting-edge technology such as Mivan that assures quality development of the project. Some of our current initiatives include building environment-friendly homes and minimizing our carbon footprint.

We are collaborating proactively with our landscape architects and renewable energy consultants to determine our approach for vertical landscaping. The goal is to promote greenery to reduce our carbon footprint and optimize the usage and wastage of water, electricity, and other resources to make our offerings more sustainable and environment-friendly. Some of our projects, such as Park Infinia, have already received IGBC Platinum Accreditation, and we strive to obtain this certification for all of our projects soon.

What cutting-edge tools or technology does Kumar Properties employ to get successful outcomes?

Mivan and High-rise Towers are some of the examples of cutting-edge technologies that we use in building construction to reduce our carbon footprint. The latest technologies can be used to seek things like fixing ties. We don't use any cement-related materials. We employ ecologically friendly goods, which aids in speedier work and greater performance. This allows our customers to be happy and satisfied with the quality of delivery. Our projects are free of leaks and seepages, which in fact is a major challenge for many developers across India.

Considering that environment-conscious infrastructure is becoming the new normal, does Kumar Properties have any plans to implement similar projects in the future?

Yes, we have already completed some projects of this kind, and we intend to include environment-friendly advancements in future projects. Even our elevations will be vertically landscaped, reducing carbon emis-sions, using cementitious material, and the health concerns associated with manufacturing these pro-cessors. And now we are pacing towards cutting-edge technologies with the desire to reduce our carbon footprints and make this world a better place to live in. 

Could you tell me about the company's CSR initiatives?

Kumar Properties is committed to giving back to the community. We collaborate with H.V Desai Eye Hospital in Pune. As part of our CSR activities, we are helping in building the hospital and sponsoring blind people or people who cannot afford cataracts or other significant treatments. Secondly, we also sponsor education for students from underprivileged families, who are interested in doing engineering or medicine and are brilliant on a merit basis. We also have Kesarimal Himmatlal Charitable Trust which provides free of cost/subsidized rates treatment to the poor and needy patients. The center has five state-of-the-art dialysis machines along with other latest equipment, qualified doctors, and trained technicians.
