Tell us about Staytion’s journey till date as a one-stop platform for on-demand spaces.

Staytion has undergone an exciting journey since its establishment in 2022. Starting as a small startup, it has evolved into a highly acclaimed platform Gostaytion. The c ompany h as b een r ecognized f or its innovation in expanding workers' options through the Working-Near-Home (WNH) concept, receiving prestigious awards such as the Flexible Workspace Initiative of the Year 2023 - Singapore at the SBR National Business Awards and the Flexible Workspace Initiative of the Year at the Real Estate Asia Awards 2023. Currently, Gostaytion has partnered with over 270 space outlets available on its platform. These spaces are distributed across different countries, with 150 in Singapore, 100 in Malaysia, and 20 in Thailand. Our company has ambitious plans for growth in the Asia Pacific region, aiming to onboard approximately 1,000 space partners by the end of the year.

How do you leverage technology to connect co-working space providers across APAC regions and how does Gostaytion help Staytion to reach the broader customers?

Staytion Spaces utilizes advanced technology to connect co-working space providers across the APAC regions. Our proprietary platform enables users and companies to effortlessly book workspaces in real-time across Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. This capability is particularly important as Staytion is positioned as a preferred digital platform for employers and employees seeking on-demand workspace solutions. Staytion's dedicated technology and customer service teams are committed to delivering a seamless experience for instant bookings. The distinctive aspect of Gostaytion lies in its ability to provide this streamlined platform, setting it apart from others in the industry.

You have over 270 space outlets on Gostaytion. What are the value-additions you offer to customers and how do these outlets consistently maintain the standards of quality, convenience and community?

With over 270 space outlets listed on Gostaytion, Staytion offers several value-additions to customers seeking workspace solutions. The platform addresses the key concerns of affordability, convenience, and community for entrepreneurs and business owners. Unlike traditional methods that involve brokers and real estate agents, which often lack transparency, Staytion automates both the supply and demand sides of the equation. Space owners can list their properties on the platform, setting their desired price and adjusting it as needed. Potential coworkers can freely browse and compare listings, empowering them to find the best deal based on their specific preferences. Through its ecosystem of spaces and community of users, Staytion strives to enhance the overall workspace selection process. By offering transparency, flexibility, and a range of options, the platform ensures that customers can easily find spaces that meet their requirements while fostering a sense of community within the Staytion network.

How are your outlets at train stations built? How do you boost the customers’ productivity and tranquillity in these spaces?

Staytion Spaces has revolutionized the concept of co-working centers by strategically establishing outlets inside train stations in Singapore. This innovative approach addresses the challenges faced by hybrid workers, particularly those residing in multi-generational households, who cannot work from home and face long commutes to the Central Business District (CBD).

Recognizing this issue, we launched Staytion Spaces in September 2022, becoming the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. These co-working facilities provide an ideal working environment by offering proximity to individuals' homes or convenient access to public transportation, effectively serving as a comprehensive platform that caters to the evolving needs of the hybrid workforce. Each Staytion Spaces centre is meticulously designed to enhance productivity and tranquility. Equipped with essential amenities like reliable Wi-Fi, charging ports, printers, and even a cafe, these spaces create an optimal working environment. Furthermore, spacious and flexible meeting rooms capable of accommodating eight to 20 individuals are available. These versatile spaces are suitable for various purposes, including large meetings, classes, and team activities. By strategically positioning outlets inside train stations, Staytion Spaces not only addresses the commuting challenges faced by hybrid workers but also boosts their productivity and tranquility through well-designed spaces and essential amenities.

What are your plans for the future?

Staytion has a future roadmap focused on expanding its presence beyond domestic markets by utilizing technology as a catalyst for growth and expansion in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The company has been actively onboarding co-working spaces across APAC through its innovative online marketplace platform, Gostaytion. This platform serves as a comprehensive marketplace, connecting co-working space providers throughout APAC with businesses and individuals in search of flexible workspaces. Staytion aims to leverage this platform to facilitate the seamless expansion of its services across the region, ensuring that the co-working options offered align with their commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, convenience, and community.
