In my journey spanning over 28 years, the mantra of my success lies in an unwavering commitment to every project, irrespective of its scale. It's about instilling a collective ethos within the team that each endeavor, big or small, is approached with the same zeal. This mantra propels us to invest 100 percent dedication, ensuring a mission-driven focus on delivering projects that exceed stakeholders' expectations.

The key principle woven into the fabric of my success is fostering open lines of communication that is from top-tier leadership to the diligent construction crew. This practice encourages a transparent disclosure of concerns, creating a collaborative environment where every member contributes to the quality and success of our projects.

HNL Beyond Construction, to me, is a testament to our collective dedication and craftsmanship. We derive strength from the quality of our creations, having collaborated with international design luminaries like Missoni, Versace Home, and Armani Casa. This experience empowers us to seamlessly blend world class finishing works into our local projects here in the Philippines, positioning us as a formidable force in the market. Our accreditation with numerous developers stands as a testament to our reputation for delivering projects that rival international standards, making HNL Beyond Construction (aka Euler Enterprise), a name synonymous with excellence in our industry.

As a leader, my approach is deeply hands-on, extending my presence not only to top project managers but also to the construction crew and laborers. I firmly believe in investing in our people, emphasizing the importance of training and knowledge equipping. Our commitment is evident through programs, workshops, and daily toolbox meetings fostering communication and camaraderie. Accountability and ownership are ingrained values, ensuring that each team member understands their pivotal role in our collective success. Personally, as a Project Management Professional (PMP), I adhere to the fundamentals and frameworks of the project management profession by conducting training sessions with key personnel to instill a culture of competence and dedication.

How does staying abreast with the latest technologies and market trends significantly contribute to the effectiveness of your operations?

Staying at the forefront of the latest technologies and market trends is not just a choice but an imperative for us at HNL Beyond Construction. Embracing tools like the Co Construct program from the US has revolutionized our project management, procurement, and communication processes. This program serves as a vital link, bridging the gap between our main office and on-site teams. For instance, when our oversight superintendent has a requirement, the program ensures immediate communication with the procurement team. This real-time collaboration allows engineers in the office to review and assess budgetary considerations, preventing scope creep and potential cost impacts. The efficiency gained through these technological advancements not only keeps us on top of our game but reinforces our commitment to seamless communication and cost-effectiveness, ultimately enhancing our overall operational prowess.

Could you paint a vivid picture of the future destination you envision for yourself and the endeavors you are currently undertaking?

The future for our company is a canvas of exciting possibilities, poised for breakthroughs. With a solid foundation and a dynamic, scalable approach, we anticipate stepping into expansive projects, envisioning our presence in grand hotel constructions, shopping malls, captivating lobbies, and amenity-rich showrooms. We're already weaving our expertise into these domains, and we know that we are ready to embrace an even larger scale of operations. Reflecting on my journey, I've learned that the belief in self-sufficiency, especially in the early stages, can be a stumbling block. In this industry, collaboration is crucial for success because you cannot navigate it alone. Investing in the right people, fostering a team spirit, and continuously enhancing your construction knowledge are essential. The construction landscape evolves rapidly, and staying competitive demands adaptability and flexibility. To the emerging leaders aspiring to leave their mark, I would advise them to pay attention to the power of teamwork, the significance of investing in people, and the continuous pursuit of knowledge. Engr. Hugo Lozano, a Civil Engineering graduate from San Francisco State University, began his career as a Gas Planning Engineer at Pacific Gas and Electric Company in San Francisco. Returning to the Philippines, he honed structural engineering skills at Aromin and Sy + Associates before establishing his own venture, HNL Beyond Construction (aka Euler Enterprise). Specializing in design and construction, his firm collaborated with renowned developers like Century Properties Group, Federal Land, Robinsons Land Corporation, Ortigas Land and Filinvest Development Group. Notable projects include partnerships with international designers and developers such as Missoni Home, Versace Home, Armani Casa, and the Trump Organization for Trump Tower. Hugo is also the master distributor of Oikos ecological decorative paints since 2020.
