During a personal interview with our team, Dr Pratik shared valuable insights into the dental industry, offering illuminating perspectives on his personal life and other aspects.

Can you provide a concise overview of your professional history and experiences? Additionally, what inspires and drives your daily activities?

Following my graduation, I accumulated six to seven leading clinics. In 2021, I ventured into establishing my own clinic, DentisTree Dental Clinic, with our inaugural branch in Jumeirah. Within a year, in 2022, we expanded with a second branch in Mirdif, marking our presence across Dubai. Subsequently, in 2023, we significantly expanded our Jumeirah clinic, doubling its size and capacity by adding more dental chairs. Starting with three chairs initially, we expanded to eight, occupying a more spacious facility. The journey has been positive, and we are actively considering further expansions. What propels me is the ability to make a positive impact in people's lives, instilling confidence through dental treatments. Witnessing the transformative effect on their credence post-treatment is truly gratifying and serves as a continual source of motivation.

Describe DentisTree Dental Clinic's standing in the healthcare sector, particularly within the realm of Orthodontics.

The specialist dentists at our clinic are distinguished professionals, particularly excelling in their fields. Our clinic is at the forefront of technology, utilizing advanced iTero scanners to digitize traditional orthodontic records. This enables patients to preview before-and-after images of their treatment outcomes even before commencing the process. We also have nitrous oxide or consious sedation for our pediatric patients which puts them at ease during the treatment. Underlining our commitment to excellence, we consistently incorporate the latest technologies and adhere to the highest standards in the field of dentistry.

As the Specialist Orthodontist, what steps have you taken to ensure a seamless patient care experience at the clinic?

Accurate diagnosis is paramount in our approach. We utilize CBCT machines for detailed 3D imaging, akin to X-rays but in three dimensions, providing comprehensive insights into the patient's condition. Additionally, digital scanning of the teeth aids in meticulous treatment planning. Our significance in precise diagnosis extends to the use of top-tier materials and appliances to guarantee optimal results. We prioritize perfection, investing considerable effort in the meticulous finishing and detailing of treatments, resulting in consistently well-executed cases. Moreover, our commitment extends beyond the treatment phase; we actively follow up with patients over the long term, ensuring that the achieved results are maintained and aligned with their enduring goals.

Share insights into your leadership style. What principles or methods do you adhere to as a leader?

Currently, I lead a team comprising of 17 doctors, and our operational philosophy is rooted in a collective and egalitarian mindset. There is no distinct leadership approach; instead, we foster a belief in equality and open communication. Operating on an open-door policy, any team member can engage in discussions, promoting a collaborative environment. We strongly endorse a referral system, ensuring that specialists handle specific areas of expertise. For instance, pediatric cases are directed to pediatric dentists, orthodontists handle cases involving braces, and endodontists manage root canals. This collaborative, team-based approach emphasizes the importance of each member, negating the need for a hierarchical leadership structure. It is our collective effort as a unified team that contributes to delivering optimal dental treatments to our patients.

In what ways do you assist patients in making informed decisions regarding their dental care to attain favourable results?

Our approach centres on transparency, presenting patients with a comprehensive array of treatment options. This extends to orthodontics, where choices like braces or aligners are thoroughly outlined, including the respective pros and cons. We ensure patients are informed about the advantages and disadvantages of each option, along with the associated costs. While we offer recommendations based on their specific needs, we empower patients to actively participate in the decision-making process. Prior to initiating any treatment, we make certain that every option is discussed, enabling patients to make well-informed decisions aligned with their preferences and objectives.
