The Founder & Managing Director of Perma Corporation, Chaiyos Rungcharoenchai is one of them.

Chaiyos has been a third-generation entrepreneur of his family business which has been involved in the textile industry for 50 years. This has allowed him to learn every aspect of the textile space from fibers to fabrics and garment processing. He has received extraordinary exposure to the global textile market and chances to attend exhibitions held on global platforms. These experiences not only added to his knowledge and skill set but also made him address the gaps in the industry and search for technology to add more innovative value to it. With this as the core vision, Chaiyos establish Perma Corporation.

Under his leadership, Perma Corporation, for the last seven years, has been manufacturing high quality products that are adding value to the daily life of millions of people in consideration of global environmental issues, health, and aging. Going forward, he aspires to contribute to a better society for the next generation. Let’s hear it from him.

Describe your leadership approach and what has been your success mantra. Having the experience of being President of the Thai Textile Merchant Association and now the medical Textile Cluster under The Federation of Thai Industries, I believe I have broader visions and a good view of what’s going on in the textile market. This makes me capable of making our company operate nonstop to the next level. I look at business as a chance to innovate and make them scientifically proven to deliver customer satisfaction.

Define Perma Corporation as an organization and its position in the market. Perma Corporation was established in 2016 to create new value and innovation in the textile industry. It is a Research & Development, technology, and innovation company under BOI promotion. It has been successful in developing PERMA™, a polyester fiber embedded with Nano Zinc that has a permanent and lasting antimicrobial effect. It is a unique, eco-friendly, value-added material that meets the needs of companies aiming to reduce their environmental impact and the needs of people looking for improving their quality of life. We look forward to continuing to develop functional and highquality products to meet the various needs of the market.

What are the growth factors you look into to ensure the company moves towards achieving its objectives? Our focus is to create healthy products that cater to the future market demand for global issues; to continuously improve our innovative products through consistent R&D and develop new functional textile products. We also provide our undivided attention to building a team that has a strong business relationship with our supply chain to give better service to our customers. Our goal is to be a pioneer in extruding new elements under fiber technology and contribute to the cultural improvement of life.

How do you ensure the operations of the company remain environmentally responsible? Nano Zinc has been tested and accepted by scientific research that can eliminate and inhibit the growth of bacteria, which is the cause of unpleasant odors, skin diseases, sinuses, and allergies, and is also safer than other technologies. It is environmentally friendly throughout the production process and use at every step from the production of fiber yarn, spinning weaving, or knitting into the fabric as well as various products. There is no toxic contamination to the environment because nano-zinc is embedded in the fibers. As a result, the product remains permanently effective in taking care of the wearer's health and the world at the same time.

What is your anticipation about the upcoming changes in the market and which are the areas the company plans to invest its goals moving forward? Thailand and other counties in the world have entered an aging society and also the Covid-19 epidemic situation. Therefore, they have become extremely health conscious. We plan to invest and develop more BCG models a holistic economic development, to develop a 3-dimensional economy at the same time including Bioeconomy, Circular, and Green Technology. We are able to contribute the Circular products with Green Technology and have approval for our Perma technology by GRS and Oeko-Tex.

What is the future destination you are heading towards? We are looking forward to contributing to creating medical textile, and functional textile products supported by material science. Our concept will match the mission of Perma Corporation  The innovative and permanent functional materials for life improvement.
