Can you share your professional background and experiences, as well as the motivation that fuels your daily routines?

Growing up in a small town in Gujarat, technology always fascinated me, especially as my father taught computer classes for accountancy. After completing my graduation in IT and working for eight years in the same industry, I gained valuable knowledge in programming and technology, which led me to start my own company, VEBUIN, in Japan in 2015. With a focus on using IT technology to solve client problems, we aimed to help Japan overcome its slow adoption of technology and reliance on outsourced IT vendors. Our company has grown to around 150 employees from India and Japan, bringing together the diverse cultures of both countries. My primary motivation is to expand and develop our Indian engineering team while collaborating with our Japanese colleagues to solve more significant problems together. Our goal is to have a positive impact on society through technology and innovation.

How would you define VEBUIN as an organization and its current position in the market?

As a member of VEBUIN, I would describe our organization as a unique company that provides IT services and builds our own products. Our approach of being both a service provider and a product-based company allows us to learn from both sides and contribute to our clients. In a market where customer satisfaction with IT vendors is typically low, we see an opportunity to differentiate ourselves by working closely with our clients as partners rather than just vendors. Our focus on empathy and understanding our client's business problems allows us to deliver solutions that solve their pain points. We work closely with our clients through scrum development and provide a one-stop solution with engineers who work on multiple technologies. We hire managers who understand both the client's business and the technology, which is necessary to provide fast and speedy solutions. Our goal is to work with clients on a long-term basis to have a major impact on their business, and we are currently working with several enterprise-level companies that believe in digitalization and want to be number one in digital transformation.

Can you explain your leadership style and the principles or approaches you use to guide and manage your team?

First and foremost, I believe in the power of teamwork. No one person can solve all the big problems on their own, so I prioritize creating a strong team dynamic where everyone can contribute their unique strengths and work together to overcome challenges. Additionally, I believe in building up the next generation of leaders by setting a positive example and fostering a culture of learning and growth. In terms of management approaches, I focus on creating a clear vision and roadmap for the team to follow, rather than micromanaging individuals. I also prioritize supporting and mentoring team members, providing them with the resources and education they need to succeed. Ultimately, my goal is to create a mindset and culture that empowers everyone on the team to work together to solve problems and achieve success.

Can you describe your main products or services and what additional benefits customers can expect from them?

Our focus is not just on using the latest technology, but also ensuring that it fits within the timeline and budget, and utilizing resources efficiently. We work directly with our end clients to understand their problems and find solutions that satisfy their needs. Our satisfaction comes from knowing that what we build is being used by our clients and helping them. As we continue to grow as a team, we strive to maintain the same culture and mindset that we had when we were a smaller company. At the heart of our business is a strong desire to make a difference in society. We believe that by building a team of young leaders who are passionate about creating change, we can make a meaningful impact on the world around us. These leaders are not just knowledgeable in their respective fields but are also empathetic and committed to working with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.

Our product is called 'Smartflow' which is next-generation workflow automation and expense management for automation in companies' back office work like HR, Accounts, and more. Japanese SaaS companies are spending a lot of money on Marketing and sales. But we truly believe in product-led growth, so we are spending more on product development by understanding the client’s pain point. We are targeting the number one SaaS product in Japan in the next few years and also targeting to launch in ASIA starting from the Indian market.

In addition to working with clients, we also prioritize social responsibility and community involvement. We believe that by giving back to the community and supporting social causes, we can create a positive impact beyond our business. Our team members are encouraged to understand the social impact of our work and foster a sense of purpose and fulfillment in their work.

What is the goal or endpoint that you are striving to reach in the future?

At present, our primary focus is on Japan, where we are committed to providing top-notch IT services to our clients. Japan is a unique market with specific business requirements and cultural nuances. We understand the importance of tailoring our services to meet the needs of our Japanese clients. To achieve this, we have a team of experienced professionals in Japan who are well-versed in the local language, culture, and business practices. They work closely with our clients to understand their unique requirements and provide customized solutions that deliver the desired results. While Japan is our current focus, we have plans to expand our services to other countries in the future, such as India, which is an emerging market for IT services. However, our main goal is not just growth but also maintaining our originality and beliefs as we continue to grow. We believe that our unique selling point is the incorporation of Japanese culture into our company. We have a Japanese team as part of our organization, which enables us to infuse Japanese culture into our business practices. This includes the prioritization of teamwork, organization structure, people management, and culture over processes in our company. We believe that this approach sets us apart from our competitors and enables us to deliver exceptional services to our clients.
