Can you provide a brief summary of your professional journey?

After completing my finance degree, I worked briefly as an auditor at Deloitte before leaving due to the monotony of the job. I then spent four years working for a freight company, which gave me the confidence to start my own freight-focused company. I eventually expanded into warehousing solutions, specifically for the chemical vertical, and have been building warehouses since 2015. We currently have warehouses in JAFZA and DWC in Dubai and ICADAbu Dhabi.

What is your leadership approach and key to success?

I believe in transformational leadership, which involves empowering team members to function as leaders themselves. I trust my team and give them the freedom to function, which results in better outcomes and continuous learning and improvement. Building trust with my team is crucial for success, and hard work is a given.

What is AAA FREIGHT SERVICES and its position in the market?

AAA FREIGHT SERVICES is a family-run business where my brothers Aizaz, Aifaz and I share responsibilitiesto achieve our common goal of growing the company and the team. We are a leading provider of chemical logistics solutions in the UAE, with state-of-the-art warehouses that comply with local and international standards. Our team is key to creating our brand value.

What factors do you consider when developing strategies to run business operations smoothly? What industry practices have you brought to AAA FREIGHT SERVICES?

Having a clear goal and vision is crucial for the growth of a business. With three leaders on board, we are able to delegate responsibilities effectively and maintain the momentum of our business expansion. Effective resource management is also essential, encompassing time, money, and personnel. Process streamlining is another significant component in ensuring that our team delivers smooth operations. Lastly, we prioritize staying up-to-date with the fast-changing landscape of technology integration to keep exploring new ways to improve our business.

Safety is of the utmost importance in the chemical vertical, and we adhere strictly to local and international occupational safety standards. Our commitment to safety builds trust with our customers, who rely on us to handle their cargo reliably.

What are your predictions for future market changes, and how will you impact the company going forward?

Digitization, sustainability, personalization, and globalization are key areas of focus for the future market. We plan to continuously learn and adapt to market changes, identify new strategies and business models that leverage technology, embrace sustainability, and focus on customer needs.

What advice would you give to upcoming leaders in this industry?

I would say, develop a deep understanding of the logistics industry, foster a culture of continuous improvement, stay up-to-date with technology developments, and build a strong team. Success comes from working collaboratively, trusting your team, and striving for continuous improvement.
