What Makes You a True Tech Leader?
Meta’s Chief Technology Officer, Andrew ‘Boz’ ’Bosworth, recently talked about the initial days of Facebook and how they all survived on minimal sleep and missed socializing for a significant part of their 20s. According to him, the early days of Facebook were marked by intense dedication. The team often survived on minimal sleep and sacrificed socializing throughout much of their twenties to achieve their goals. Boz made it clear that in today’s dynamic tech world, where innovations explode daily, to stand out, a tech leader has to drive larger social good across the communities they operate in. Solving societal challenges with futuristic technologies and innovations with foresight is a great way to succeed. The global tech leaders need to make sure that they are at the business end of things—right at the bleeding edge.
Indonesia is blessed with a great number of such proven technology leaders. The country’s digital transformation is a great example that corroborates the sentiments. According to Mordor Intelligence, the Indonesian Digital Transformation Market is expected to reach $20.40 billion in 2024 and grow at a CAGR of 19.44 percent to reach $49.57 billion by 2029. MSMEs have a crucial role to play in this journey. MSMEs have a market share of 61 percent in the country. Although the country has sufficient basic digital infrastructure, the actual utilization of technology by MSMEs will be the most decisive factor in this growth. It’s safe to assume that CTOs in MSMEs have a huge role to play in taking the country to the future. We dedicate this issue to the CTOs in Indonesia. Do let us know your thoughts.
