The University of Baghdad Signs an Important Agreement
Collaboration is essential for all sectors in this tech-ade. Education is no exception, as it needs to share knowledge and work with others to improve itself and get closer to the industry, reducing the gap. Institutions can enhance their creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills and serve their students and communities better by collaborating across different disciplines. University of Baghdad, Iraq, is leading this important trend, with several collaborations in recent years.
A few days ago, the university made another significant partnership—this time with the Iraq Football Association. In an official meeting held at the University of Baghdad, headed over by Professor Moneer Al-Saadi, President of the University, and Adnan Dirjal, President of the Iraq Football Association, the two entities entered into a collaborative agreement aimed at exchanging expertise between the university and the football association. This new collaboration allowed an exchange of viewpoints and marked a crucial turning point. The common objective is to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, with a special emphasis on Goal 17—about revitalizing the global partnership for sustainable development.
In addition to this, an official partnership agreement between the Iraqi Football Association and the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Baghdad, was also signed at the end of the successful meeting. The growth and improvement of sports and education are expected to advance significantly as a result of this historic alliance. The Iraq national football team is currently ranked 63 in FIFA’s ranking. In this issue, we focus on the prestigious alumni of the University of Baghdad. Do let us know your thoughts.
