According to the World Bank, Malaysia's economy is forecasted to grow an “underachieving” 4.3 percent in 2024 and 4.5 percent in 2025 supported by private consumption. It’s no wonder organizations are starting to realize the need for a multichannel approach to growth powered by technology, especially data. Organizations with smart leadership also understand that today's growth should only be considered the seeds of tomorrow’s growth. Sodexo, a French food services and facilities management company headquartered in Paris, is a great example of this approach.

Well, Sodexo is not doing badly in the market at all. In fact, the company has manifested its best-ever sales performance in recent years. However, the company recently announced the appointment of David Woodbury in the newly created role of chief commercial officer (CCO) for Sodexo US, altering its marketing approach. Sodexo is building on the momentum and taking a bold next step in future- proofing its growth journey. While David moved into this newly created role, Chelsea Neubauer was promoted to chief sales officer for Sodexo’s US Healthcare and Seniors divisions.

Organizations around the world could bank on this multichannel approach to stay ahead of the curve. Something that futuristic organizations have in common is how they leverage data. Whether machine learning, robotics, artificial intelligence, or any other buzzing technology, almost every road in digitopia leads to data. Every business leader constantly asks the question: how do I improve my business using technology? If data was an enabler before, today, data and analytics are increasingly becoming the cornerstone of business decision-making worldwide. In this yearly special issue, we shed light on some of the business leaders in Malaysia with the potential to make history. Do let us know your thoughts.
