| | FEBRUARY 20244 Over the past several decades, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) has been at the forefront of innovations, producing fantastic business ideas and creating a safer, better, sustainable world. Indeed, it all starts from within the campus' research-oriented academia. It is no coincidence that the students from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia often find simpler solutions to the most complex societal problems, land their favorite jobs worldwide and even become world-renowned personalities. Recently, the Malaysian Police has partnered with UKM to research and conduct specialized training, particularly in combating the threat of drugs and New Psychoactive Substances (NPS) in Malaysia. The department has handed over a fund of RM1.2 million to the university. The funds would be utilized to lease laboratory equipment to provide further auxiliary support for comprehensive research on drugs and NPS. The research team will endeavor to find out the lowest dose that leads to addiction and the best ways to treat and recover from drug use. They will also focus on the original molecule of each drug, which will help the Police figure out what kind of drug it is. Moreover, the research team will also help create a database for NPS, which are synthetic drugs that act like other drugs. This database will be useful for Malaysia and Southeast Asia law enforcement agencies. Established in 1970, UKM has always been at the forefront of getting down to the ground and using its talented resources to solve societal challenges at large. We are proud to present our yearly special issue based on the prestigious alumni ecosystem of UKM.Sujith VasudevanManaging Editoreditor@ceoinsightsasia.comEditorialOn a Huge Rescue Mission Insights for Business LeadersVol 04 · Issue 4-2 · FEBRUARY, 2024Publisher Alok ChaturvediManaging Editor Sujith Vasudevan Manager - DesignPrabhu Dutta A.R.N RayNoidaRohit Raghubanshi Akshay Shettyadvertise@ceoinsightsasia.comEditorial queries editor@ceoinsightsasia.comTo subscribeVisit www.ceoinsightsasia.com/subscribe/ or send emailto subscription@ceoinsightsasia.comMagazine Price is $50 per issuePublisher Alok ChaturvediPrinted and Published By Alok Chaturvedi on behalf of InfoConnect Web Technologies India Pvt.
