| | DECEMBER 20249IN FOCUSThe Chief Executive Officer of a prominent Malaysian scholarship provider has been appointed as one of the senior officers of the global accountancy body ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), which represents over 252,500 members and 526,000 future members across 180 countries.Datuk Zaiton Mohd Hassan brings extensive business experience to the role. She is CEO of the Malaysia Professional Accountancy Centre (MyPAC), a non-profit dedicated to helping students from poorer backgrounds find careers in finance. She also holds senior non-executive director posts including chair of GX Bank, Malaysia's first digital bank.Datuk Zaiton Mohd Hassan said: "I'm pleased and honored to be appointed as vice president of ACCA.
