| | JUNE 20234 In any educational institution, curriculum, the fulcrum of education, being abreast of the industry trends, and imitating the corporate/industrial experience are crucial for setting students on the course of an excellent professional career. With an increasingly competitive business landscape prevailing, it's no secret that the business realm expects more from the candidates. This takes us to one of the most ventilated discussion points in the world, the gap between industry and academia. This makes constantly updating curriculum an essential aspect of a student's growth. In truth, it also differentiates the greatest of academic institutions from the good ones. Well, anything educational is never a one-man battle. A collaborative approach in the educational realm that goes beyond the institutions and borders is paramount. Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) is setting an excellent precedent for such a collaborative approach to education. Last year, NTU hosted a Singapore-India Dialogue session attended by over 200 dignitaries, including prominent business and government leaders, academics, and distinguished alumni. Encrusting critical themes of the transformation of education, research, and innovation in a post-pandemic world and strengthening technopreneurship in Singapore, the event became a significant milestone in enhancing and building upon NTU Singapore's existing partnerships with India's leading universities and research institutes forged during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's historic visit to NTU in 2018. Established in 1955, prior to Singapore's independence from the British, NTU is the second oldest autonomous university in the country and is considered one of the most prestigious universities in the world by various international metrics.
