| | FEBRUARY 20248 Collaboration is essential in all sectors in this era of technology. Education is no exception, as working together and sharing knowledge can improve education and make it more relevant to the industry, reducing the gap. By collaborating across different fields, institutions can enhance their creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills and better serve their students and communities. When the pandemic triggered a cyber attack warfare in the Philippines, Mapúa University set a great example. The university then teamed up with UK-based security firm Sophos Group to offer cybersecurity courses and training to university students. The training partnership aimed to improve students' cybersecurity skills and knowledge. Sophos has been training Mapua faculty members on XG Firewall, a security product, and certifying them to teach the courses and include them in the university curriculum. Many of the students have also completed certifications from Sophos. Experts have long warned about the Philippines's vulnerability to cyber threats due to a lack of adequate cybersecurity infrastructure and repeated failures to hold authorities accountable for their lack of preparedness. Mapúa is on a mission to improve the cybersecurity scenario in the country.Mapúa is embracing the future with programs beyond this. The university has recently partnered with Cisco to establish the Philippines' first digital university, part of Cisco's Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) program named UGNAYAN 2030. The collaboration aims to modernize Mapúa's traditional classrooms by deploying Cisco's state-of-the-art technology, including AI-powered collaboration tools such as the Cisco Webex Meeting Suite, Webex Boards, Meraki Wireless, and Smart Cameras.Sujith VasudevanManaging Editoreditor@ceoinsightsasia.comEditorialCollaboration is the Key Insights for Business LeadersVol 04 · Issue 7-2 · FEBRUARY, 2024Publisher Alok ChaturvediManaging Editor Sujith Vasudevan Manager - DesignPrabhu Dutta A.R.N RayNoidaRohit Raghubanshi Akshay Shettyadvertise@ceoinsightsasia.comEditorial queries editor@ceoinsightsasia.comTo subscribeVisit www.ceoinsightsasia.com/subscribe/ or send emailto subscription@ceoinsightsasia.comMagazine Price is $50 per issuePublisher Alok ChaturvediPrinted and Published By Alok Chaturvedi on behalf of InfoConnect Web Technologies India Pvt.
