VIRTUE Asia Appoints Amos Mak as Associate Creative Director

VIRTUE Asia has announced the appointment of Amos Mak as Associate Creative Director, bringing his extensive experience in creative storytelling and brand engagement to the agency. Mak joins after a six-year tenure at BBH Singapore, where he served as Senior Art Director, and has previously held roles at DDB Singapore and Geometry Singapore.
With expertise in activation thinking and experience-driven engagement, Mak has worked with top-tier brands including Samsung, Riot Games, Meta, Singtel, and UOB. At BBH Singapore, he was a key player in the agency’s gaming-specialized core team, securing pitch wins for Riot Games and Krafton’s PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. His work has led to award-winning campaigns that have resonated with gaming audiences worldwide. Additionally, he played a significant role in Samsung’s global launches for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Watch Ultra.
Mak’s appointment follows VIRTUE Asia’s recent strategic restructuring, including the promotion of Lesley John to CEO, as the agency continues to focus on expanding its creative footprint in the region.
“Amos’ ability to blend cultural insight with innovative storytelling aligns with our mission to help brands become culturally relevant. His experience in branded entertainment and experience-led campaigns will be invaluable as we continue to expand our creative firepower across Asia”, said Huiwen Tow, Head of Strategy, VIRTUE Asia.
Mak, who has been actively involved in mentoring young creatives, expressed his excitement about the new role. “I’ve always believed that the best work is born from culture – not imposed on it. That’s why I’m excited to join VIRTUE Asia, an agency that understands the power of cultural resonance and actively builds brands from within it”.
He added that he looks forward to collaborating with the team to create culture-first campaigns that engage individuals, communities, and fandoms in meaningful ways.
