NCS Unveils AI and Digital Resilience Solutions at Impact Forum
One such technology services company is NCS, which rolled out a full suite of AI and DR solutions to help organizations succeed in the rapidly changing landscape brought about by AI. This launch is targeted to increase secure and scalable AI use for innovation that can be sustained across APAC, with an announcement at its annual Impact forum. The event convened over 1,000 technology leaders and practitioners from leading organizations like Intel, SATS, AWS, and Temasek Foundation with guest of honor Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies, Heng Swee Keat.
NCS CEO Ng Kuo Pin addressed the forum, outlining the company's strategy for leveraging AI to drive transformative changes. He outlined two things considered most important for today's organizations: AI adoption and digital resilience. "Around the world, AI is top of mind now. Having said that, while organizations race to harness AI's transformative power, they cannot afford to neglect digital resilience. For a secure and sustainable future, an investment base in cybersecurity, data governance, and technology that will let AI flourish is what an organization needs", Ng Kuo Pin said.
A core component of the new offering is the AI-Digital Resilience Matrix, which characterizes organizations with respect to their maturity levels in AI adoption and digital resilience. In this way, any organization can draft strategic roadmaps that balancing AI advancement with digital resilience. Ng Kuo Pin commented, "AI will be a game-changer and companies must learn the new game – the earlier, the better". Considering the pace at which AI evolves, and the business implications that come with it, the right technology partners truly become very fundamental in guiding one through the landscape of AI.
Not only this but NCS has also launched Polaris DR, a solution designed for assessing digital resilience across key areas, including cybersecurity, data governance, infrastructure scalability, application robustness, and operational responsiveness. Polaris DR looks to provide a strong platform for enterprise-wide growth through the customizable improvement plan.
Apart from that, it announced a total of five IBS embedded with NCS AI Accelerators. These solutions are designed to integrate and speed up the adoption of AI in key areas like customer and citizen experience, workforce productivity, and software engineering.
Building on these strategic efforts, NCS announced several key partnerships. In collaboration with Amazon Web Services, NCS will establish its first-ever Generative AI Centre of Excellence for Public Good. It will fulfill this aspiration by using AWS's Generative AI Innovation Centre. 'We are looking forward to working' with NCS to set up its first CoE for Public Good, said Elsie Tan, Country Manager, Worldwide Public Sector, Singapore, AWS.
It also announced a partnership with Dell Technologies to accelerate the adoption of AI with Generative AI solutions, powered by Dell AI Factory. The company also teamed up with Schneider Electric to bring sustainable and energy-efficient, as well as emissions-compliant, computing systems in higher density computing use cases. According to Yoon Young Kim, Cluster President, Singapore and Brunei at Schneider Electric, "The partnership with NCS marks a significant milestone toward the co-creation of a new benchmark of sustainability in data centre operations".
Further, NCS partnered with Income Insurance to provide location-based, hourly travel insurance via the Breeze mobile app and supported the provision of additional insurance coverage powered by real-time data. As Peter Tay, Chief Digital Officer at Income Insurance, shared, 'We are always on the lookout for like-minded partners in closing protection gaps'.
In support of these initiatives, NCS is developing a pipeline of AI talent. The goals include building a 3,000-strong AI-certified practitioner base and more than 300 AI experts. In this regard, NCS will collaborate with IMDA to upscale its workforce under the TechSkills Accelerator initiative. He Kiren Kumar, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, IMDA, said, "IMDA is committed to working with companies on putting in place a strong AI talent ecosystem here in Singapore.
