MNGL Partners with Heath Consultants for Low-Emission Operations
Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited (MNGL) has collaborated with Heath Consultants Incorporated, a US-based company, to ensure environmentally friendly operations for its natural gas utility infrastructure. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), established under the US-India Low Emissions Gas Task Force (LEGT), enables MNGL and Heath Consultants to collaboratively explore opportunities in emissions reduction, prevention of underground utility damage, and waste heat recovery.
"Upon the execution of this MoU, we will collaborate to transform these identified opportunities into tangible, actionable projects", stated Kumar Shanker, Managing Director of MNGL. Houston-based Heath Consultants Incorporated will contribute technical solutions to assist MNGL in gas line location services, preventing underground utility damage, waste heat recovery, and incorporating low-emission valves.
In alignment with the agreement, Heath will aid MNGL in enhancing the efficiency, environmental sustainability, and safety aspects of its operations. The collaboration aims to elevate MNGL's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards by leveraging technical consulting, services, and product offerings. The MoU was formally signed by Sanjay Sharma, Director (Commercial) MNGL, and Paul Wehnert, Executive Vice President of Heath Consultants, in the presence of Indian Consul General in Houston D C Manjunath, facilitated by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF).
