Jim Hagemann Snabe and Ong Pang Thye Appointed to the Temasek Board

TemaTemasek has appointed Mr. Jim Hagemann Snabe and Mr. Ong Pang Thye to its Board, effective January 1, 2025. Both are seasoned business leaders with extensive experience in their respective fields and a strong track record in the private sector. Their inclusion will enhance the Board's strategic guidance to Temasek's management team.

Mr. Snabe is currently the Chair of the Supervisory Board of Siemens AG, a Board Member at C3.ai, and a Trustee at the World Economic Forum. He also serves as an Advisor to Deutsche Bank AG. Previously, he was Chair of A.P. Moller Maersk and Vice Chair of Allianz SE. A veteran of the IT industry, Mr. Snabe had a 25-year career with SAP AG, where he served as Co-CEO from 2010 to 2014. He has been a member of Temasek’s European Advisory Panel since 2018 and is widely recognized for his leadership in innovation, digitization, and societal progress through business.

Mr. Ong brings over 30 years of expertise in accounting, auditing, and consulting, having worked across industries such as Banking, Asset Management, and Real Estate. He served as the Managing Partner of KPMG Singapore from 2016 to 2023 and was on the Board of KPMG International Limited. Previously, he led KPMG’s Audit practice in Singapore and its Accounting Advisory Services for Asia Pacific. Currently, Mr. Ong is Vice Chairman of the Singapore Business Federation, a Board Member of SP Group, and Chairman of the Audit Committee for the Home Team Science and Technology Agency under the Ministry of Home Affairs. He also advises the Business School at the National University of Singapore.

Temasek Holdings Chairman, Mr. Lim Boon Heng, welcomed the appointments, highlighting the unique expertise each individual brings to the Board.

Jim’s leadership in innovation and digitization, combined with Pang Thye’s deep expertise in navigating risk and governance, will complement the Board and help Temasek achieve its portfolio and institutional priorities. The new appointments are expected to further strengthen Temasek's Board as it navigates evolving global challenges and opportunities.
